The Marketing and Corporate Communications team devises creative, engaging and strategic communications to effectively promote Skyborne’s corporate narrative to a wide range of audiences including our people, our students, our airline partners, the media and key stakeholders.
The Group Marketing Assistant is responsible for coordinating ideas and producing entertaining, engaging, informative and/or instructional campaigns that link Skyborne to our target audience across the Group, with a focus on the US market.
The objective is to ensure all marketing efforts align with Skyborne’s Business Plan and contribute to achieving the organization’s revenue and recruitment goals.
Responsible for conveying the correct messaging to Skyborne’s B2B and B2C markets. Innovation and creative thinking are a must to ensure that Skyborne appeals to a wider audience and is differentiated through forward thinking, quality, safety, and professionalism. All communications should be delivered in a timely and factually correct way using the most appropriate channels for the audience.

3. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY
i. Create opportunities for staff and students to express their ideas, opinions, and concerns, and empower staff and student voices.
ii. Conduct interviews and behind-the-scenes content with staff and trainees/students on campus and facilitating airline representative interviews for use across marketing platforms.
iii. Direct and guide on-camera personnel where required.
iv. Optimize content for different channels (aspect ratios, pacing, file formats).
v. Creatively input into asset and content libraries, by capturing on-site videography and photography of staff, students and key stakeholders (where appropriate) for use on social media platforms and the company website.
vi. Conduct video interviews with staff and students on campus and facilitating airline representative interviews for use across marketing platforms.
vii. Capture compelling, high quality photography on campus to support student milestones.
viii. Capture and maintain a library of quality staff images, across all departments, that can be used in media updates.
ix. Actively seek content opportunities across all sites, through engagement with key staff members and student cohorts.
x. Support the wider marketing team with photography and videography that support internal communications and recruitment. This includes for example taking Group shots at all inductions (including international students), and staff head shots.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
xi. Alongside the Group Communications Lead, develop and maintain Skyborne’s internal communications strategy, to enable meaningful two-way communication with staff and students; promoting staff and student engagement; encourage organization-wide collaboration; ensuring understanding our corporate objectives, priorities and key messages and disseminating updates in a timely and consistent manner.
xii. Support and deliver internal communications campaigns and activities on key topics within the US academy.
xiii. Confident in presenting to a wide range of people, including new students on campus at inductions, engaging with the students and building professional relationships to gain support for marketing initiatives.
xiv. Support in developing, owning, designing, and maintaining corporate communications such as presentations (both internal and external), newsletters, event support materials, research papers, and brochures alongside the Group Communications Lead.
xv. Support the Group Communications Lead in driving the company’s ‘Reach Higher’ campaign, developing and delivering new initiatives to ensure the Groups Mission, Vision and Values are recognizable and easily recalled amongst staff.
xvi. Hold good relationships with all areas of the business to ensure an effective flow of business information is being shared both internally and externally, in a timely manner.
MERCHANDISE
xvii. Work with suppliers to procure branded merchandise, in line with brand merchandise guidelines and coordinate dispatch of items where required.
xviii. Manage on site stock inventory of branded collateral, and procurement to support required stock levels.
xix. Manage branded stock requests from other departments on campus, ensuring stock levels are maintained for events and giveaways.
CONTENT
xx. Manage the Groups social media direct messages, responding in a timely manner with accurate information to support lead generation.
xxi. Write, review, edit and update content for the company website, blogs, marketing materials and other platforms as required.
EVENTS
xxii. Research, plan and deliver key US events that drive leads for the sales teams, recruitments teams and create Business Development opportunities with execution of event materials such as brochures, presentations and backgrounds for digital presentations in addition to ensuring stand presence is optimized.
xxiii. Support all US events, including open house, recruitment fairs, workshops, and graduation ceremonies through effective coordination.
xxiv. Coordinate event logistics such as venue selection, catering, travel arrangements, speaker schedules, and promotional materials.
xxv. Work with instructors, student services, and admissions teams to ensure alignment on event goals and execution.
xxvi. Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish.
xxvii. Track event performance and feedback, providing post-event analysis and recommendations for improvements.
xxviii. Attend promotional and external events on behalf of Skyborne to capture content and promotional material that represents the company's values and objectives.
GENERAL
xxix. Ensure all communication is consistent with Skyborne’s vision, values, brand guidelines and key messages.
xxx. Provide support to other members of the Marketing and Corporate Communications team.
xxxi. Providing versatile support across various functions within Skyborne, including administrative tasks when required.
4. Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities:
i. Strong hands-on experience shooting corporate video and photography.
ii. Experience of using DSLR recording equipment and accessories
iii. Excellent design skills using a range of platforms to create engaging content
iv. Effective time management to ensure on time delivery that meets pre-agreed deadlines.
v. Advanced skills in content creation.
vi. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts, across all levels.
vii. Previous experience within a marketing function (desirable).
viii. Ability to innovate, identify opportunities for improvement, and respond to a changing internal context and to evolving internal and external communications best practice.
ix. Experience of collaborating across different departments and organizations to deliver outcomes that meet the needs of all parties.
